Home Sellers: Be a No Show at Your Home Showings

Buyers will have a better opportunity to view your home freely once home sellers have left the home.

So in short…get lost…take a hike, or whatever it takes…ultimately LEAVE during your home showing! Without exception, your buyers will have a better opportunity to view your home with ease, without feeling like someone (you the owner)  is looking over their shoulder. So LEAVE during your home showing!

Bottom line, it’s matter of your home buyer feeling comfortable and loving your home as much as you do, to in-turn make an informed decision.

So when it comes to REALTORS contacting you to show your home, ask for a window of time, a window of showing…maybe a 30-60 minute window and if that changes ask them to let you know.

If you’re a seller,  it’s also important for you to know as a REALTOR it’s not always easy to set up showings in advance with complete accuracy of a time schedule. So it only takes a minor set-back in one showing to make a difference for all the others. Also, at the same time we (as REALTORS) also work around the schedule of the buyers we work with.  So that means it’s a combination of knowing when you buyer is available and trying to make it match for the home sellers.

Oh, and one more thing, if you’re a seller and you have buyers arriving at a specific time,  you might want to leave once their arrive and not in advance.  It’s not uncommon to find someone arriving late and there is nothing more frustrating to leave in advance only to find the buyers arrive when you’re returning home, that’s why you may want to depart when your buyers  arrive!

So get lost and good luck!
