Homeowner Revenge ~ Lender Sabotage

Homeowner Vandalism Continues Across America

Welcome to Home Selling 101, and no this is not a make up class, not something you’ve read before, but read on…

Not long ago I wrote a post here on Home Owner Vandalism, an issue that’s ongoing and appears to be getting worse. It was about a homeowner who decided to have his own  demolition sale on his  (about to be) foreclosed home, and then another who was selling the home’s appliances on Craig’s List. But just when you think you’ve heard it all, this one takes the cake:

It’s been reported in Oct. 2010, a San Diego Police Officer and his wife were charged with destroying and carrying away items from their Riverside County mortgaged property with the intent to defraud or injure. If convicted, they face up to four years in prison, according to a spokesman for the district attorney.

You would think if anyone would know the consequences and repercussions it would be someone in law enforcement, right?  Guess this just goes to show you the lengths some would go,  making a bad situation even worse. Their actions could lead up to four years in prison.

To read more on the subject, you can find the whole story here.

If you, or someone you know is in a situation facing foreclosure please keep in mind it’s not worth hurting yourself further. Homeowner vandalism and lender sabotage is a crime!
